A 9.5m Majestic Ocean Shimmer Built In City Beach
Using premium materials, Barrier Reef Pools has left no stone unturned in creating this majestic swimming pool in City Beach.
Showcasing a raised planter bed water feature and measuring 9.5m-by-4.4m, the pool was completed in four weeks. With the homeowners deciding to utilise the services of Barrier Reef Pools during their home build based on the recommendations of neighbours, the entire backyard was created and designed to match the elegance of the pool, which varies in depth from 1.2m at the shallow end to 1.9m at its deepest point.
“We were involved with the owners at the planning stage of the house to ensure the pool was perfectly sized and placed and all bases were covered in terms of placement of the pool and fencing in relation to the overall house design,” Barrier Reef Pools Managing Director Steve Patterson said.
The fibreglass pool utilises a large step area that is perfect for a gradual descent into the water as well as a child’s safety step, which spans the entire perimeter of the space.
Three water blades feed into the pool and Mr Patterson said this formed part of the best aspect of the whole area, making the pool as useful in design as it is practical.
“The water feature serves to break up the existing stark rear retaining wall and soften the backdrop of the pool,” he said. “It is also fully supported by our unique concrete bond beam on the edge of the pool, which is 350mm wide and 150mm deep.
“All Barrier Reef pools are installed with a concrete bond beam which allows our clients to construct water features, or other structures, right on the pool’s edge.”
Being overlooked by the alfresco and living areas of the home, the choice of colours is a subtle, yet elegant nod to the grace on show with this space.
The colours used for the pool area blend beautifully in with the light coloured walls of the home. A raised deck area sits alongside the pool and provides the ideal space to sit back, relax and fully enjoy the beautiful garden as a whole.
The finished result is a bounteous display of what can be completed in a short space of time with expert guidance and builders at the helm.
