About the Monaco Slimline 6.2m x 2.8m

Seamless, Sheer Simplicity

This elegant project by Barrier Reef Pools embodies suburban serenity in Piara Waters with a seamless flow from pool through to alfresco.
The minimal ornamentation of the project impresses with its sheer simplicity.

Starting with a Monaco slimline pool measuring 6.2m by 2.8m in stunning royal jade, it’s the featured designs and landscaping surrounds that expertly bring this pool to life.

Barrier Reef Pools Perth Owner Brad Hilbert said the owners wanted a pool that seamlessly connected with the home.

“The client wanted a pool area that would stand the test of time. It had to be part of the house and not look like a separate add-on,” he said.
Holding true to the original vision, every inch has been expertly designed to tie together; matching colours, complementing textures and well-crafted designs add subtle contrasts.

The azure water is a tempting proposition with four spa jets, solar panels and LED lights to illuminate.

The raised water feature continues the travertine pavers along the length of the pool, with the 1200mm LED water blade adding a serene touch with its gentle stream.

Breaking up the earthy tones is the leafy green foliage, with the water feature doubling as a creative garden bed.

Running along the back wall is timber screening that adds a hint of warmth and style to the shaded pavilion complete with outdoor shower.
With a pavilion on one side of the pool and an alfresco complete with outdoor kitchen on the other, the area offers the owners two separate spaces to relax irrespective of the season.

“The pool area is now the main focal point and entertaining area,” Mr Hilbert said. “Prior to the pool getting installed, the area was never used.”
The space has been finished to precision and adds a delightful finishing touch to this Piara Waters home.

“There were no major challenges in the project, but working in confined areas such as this one requires patience and precision for everyone involved,” Mr Hilbert said.

The result is a stunning outdoor area with expert designs that emanate resort-style luxury, turning this once unused space into the ultimate outdoor paradise.

The Barrier Reef Difference

LIFETIME PAVING GUARANTEE

Pencil Compacting

Pencil compacting is a ‘must do’ around all pools as it is the best way to fully consolidate the excavation area between natural ground and the pool. View our explanation video and you will see that it is just one of the many ways Barrier Reef Pools are superior to others.

Preparation Before Concrete

Timber boxing is formed up around the pool from waters edge 350mm wide. Two rows of N-12 Bar (Reo Bar) are laid between the perimeter of the timber boxing and the pool shell connecting into the pool shell provisions.

Concrete Pour

Concrete is then poured around the pool approx. 350mm wide from waters edge x 150mm deep. The concrete is then screeded to approx 15mm – 20mm  below the top edge of the fibreglass. This footing provides a solid foundation for your pool headers to be fixed to and therefore will not allow any movement in the paving. (Optional 250mm x 150mm is also available).

Paving Bond

As stated to the left concrete is left 15-20mm below the fibreglass edge. This is required so we can use a thick layer of paving bond between the concrete and the paver.
This 4 Step process enables us to provide a Lifetime paving guarantee against any bullnose paving becoming loose around the pool’s edge (the paving company must be accredited through Barrier Reef Pools WA Pty Ltd).
