Barrier Reef Pools won all three awards for its fibreglass lap pools in the annual Swimming Pool and Spa Association Awards of Excellence. Lap Pool entries from Secret Harbour, Atwell and East Fremantle took out the gold, silver and bronze awards, with a popular 12m-long fibreglass lap pool.
The 12m Atwell Lap Pool took out the silver award with Glass walls along the wall of the living area of the Atwell home provide wide views of the new lap pool that won silver.
The lane width of the 12m pool is 2.8m with an extension to 3.45m where wide entry steps are positioned at one end.
The pool is a constant depth of 1.35m and the interior gelcoat is Electric Blue, which contrasts with the white limestone paving.
Frameless glass fencing provides unrestricted views of the pool from the alfresco area and Astralpool pump and filter equipment control water quality with a self-cleaning chlorinator. The Atwell pool cost $23,000.
